Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them bloom at school and in daily life.

How we support student wellbeing?
At Caragabal Public School, supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life. We believe that students learn best when they feel known, valued and cared for.
We do this through:
- teachers who help every student feel welcome, included and understood
- our whole-school Belong, Connect, Grow wellbeing program, which builds positive relationships, student voice and resilience through daily mentor-led sessions
- access to school counsellors, psychologists and specialist staff
- targeted programs that promote health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- welcoming support for students who are new to our school or transitioning between stages
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships, reinforced through consistent language and modelling
- staff who build strong relationships with students and work in partnership with families
- health care planning for students with medical or support needs
- open communication about student wellbeing and individual support
Through Belong, Connect, Grow, students learn how to navigate friendships, build confidence, manage emotions and grow into caring, capable young people. It is one of the many ways we ensure that every child at Caragabal Public School feels known, valued and cared for.
